Personal Information Protection Policy (Privacy Policy)
The Sapporo Group companies recognize the usefulness of personal information and the importance of its protection, and believe that the strict and appropriate management and use of personal information is an important social responsibility. So that all of our customers and everyone connected with the Sapporo Group companies can feel secure, the Sapporo Group companies comply with the APPI and have established the following “Personal Information Protection Policy,” in accordance with which we will proactively and continuously make every effort to protect personal information.
- In handling personal information, we comply with the laws, regulations, and guidelines relating to personal information, our internal rules, and other norms.
- When collecting personal information, we clarify the Purpose of Use and use and provide it only within the scope of that purpose.
- We keep personal information accurate and up to date in accordance with the provisions of laws and regulations, and we establish a contact point for inquiries regarding personal information, including requests from the individual for disclosure, correction, or deletion, or refusal of use or provision, as well as questions and complaints, and respond appropriately.

Procedures for Requests for Disclosure, etc.
With respect to personal data we hold for which the Sapporo Group companies bear an obligation of disclosure, notification of the Purpose of Use, correction, addition, or deletion of content, cessation of use, erasure, or cessation of provision to third parties (hereinafter “disclosure, etc.”), as well as records of provision to third parties, we will respond in accordance with the following procedure.
- We will ask you to provide the information necessary for us to verify your identity and identify the relevant personal data we hold, and we will confirm whether disclosure, etc., of that personal data is possible. This is because there are cases where disclosure, etc., of the personal data is not possible, for example, where the personal data has been appropriately disposed of in accordance with our internal rules.
- If, upon identifying the personal data, there is a possibility that the relevant personal data can be disclosed, etc., we will mail you a “Request Form for Disclosure, etc.” (however, disclosure may not be possible if, for example, subsequent investigation reveals that we do not hold the personal data).
- Please complete the “Request Form for Disclosure, etc.,” sign and affix your seal to it, and return it by registered mail, enclosing a copy of your own “certificate of residence (juminhyo)” (an abridged copy issued within 30 days prior to the date of the request) or “driver’s license,” and, if you wish to receive a response by mail, 940 yen worth of postage stamps equivalent to the mailing fee (breakdown: standard mail 110 yen, general registered mail 480 yen, delivery certification 350 yen). For the return address, please refer to “Inquiries Regarding Personal Information” below.
- We accept requests from someone other than you where the request for disclosure, etc., is made by a statutory agent or by an agent you have appointed. In that case, please send a copy of your “certificate of residence” or “driver’s license,” and, if you wish to receive a response by mail, postage stamps equivalent to the delivery-certification mailing fee, together with the following documents to prove the agency:
- In the case of a statutory agent: the agent’s “certificate of residence” (issued within 30 days prior to the date of the request) and “documents proving status as a statutory agent.”
- In the case of an agent appointed by the individual: the agent’s “certificate of residence” (issued within 30 days prior to the date of the request) and a “power of attorney with a seal registration certificate attached.”
- After you have sent the “Request Form for Disclosure, etc.,” the copy of the individual’s “certificate of residence” or “driver’s license,” the postage stamps equivalent to the delivery-certification mailing fee (if you wish to receive a response by mail), and, in the case of a request by an agent, the documents proving the agency, we will verify your identity by an appropriate method, such as a callback to the telephone number in the personal data we hold. Only when we have confirmed that you are the same person as the individual identified in the personal data we hold will we disclose, etc., the personal data by the method requested in the “Request Form for Disclosure, etc.” (If we cannot verify your identity, we will respond by a similar method to the effect that disclosure, etc., is not possible.)
- If, as a result of investigation, it turns out that we do not hold the personal data and disclosure, etc., is therefore not possible, we will respond to that effect by the method requested in the “Request Form for Disclosure, etc.”
- Even where a request for disclosure, etc., is made, we will not make disclosure, etc., in cases falling under the following provisions of the APPI. In that case, we will notify you of this by the method requested in the “Request Form for Disclosure, etc.”:
- Article 32, paragraph (2), items (i) to (ii) of the APPI
- Article 33, paragraph (2), items (i) to (iii) of the APPI
- Article 35, paragraphs (2), (4) and (6) of the APPI
- Documents such as your certificate of residence and the copy of your driver's license that you send for identity verification will be used solely to verify your identity.

Inquiries Regarding Personal Information
Inquiries and complaints regarding the personal information of the Sapporo Group companies (excluding those relating to the registered details of membership services; for the registered details of membership services, please refer to ※) are accepted at each company’s contact point. We apologize for the inconvenience, but please contact the relevant group company.
※ When a customer registered for a membership service enters their ID (email address) and the password they set themselves on this website, we provide a mechanism that allows them to view, correct, and delete their own personal information. Personal information of persons other than those registered for membership services (such as information of campaign applicants) will be deleted six months after the close of the relevant campaign.
Secure Management of Personal Data
To prevent the leakage, loss, or damage of personal data (including specific personal information), and otherwise to ensure its secure management, the Sapporo Group companies take the following security management measures.

We establish rules and procedures for cases where devices such as computers that handle personal data are taken outside, and we take encryption measures to prevent leakage due to theft, loss, or erroneous transmission of personal data. -
Technical security management measures
We establish access controls for personal data and restrict the scope of access. We also implement measures to protect devices that handle personal data against unauthorized access and malware by keeping security software up to date, etc. and review these measures as necessary.
Continuous Improvement of Our Personal Information Protection Efforts
The Sapporo Group companies maintain rules concerning the protection of personal information and work continuously to review and improve them. We also communicate this policy and the rules concerning the protection of personal information to our officers and all employees, and will continue to provide training to employees.
